Wessex Fire and Security (WFS) is looking to place an undergraduate of marketing for a fixed term to support the marketing requirements of the business.
WFS is an independent sector specialist that undertakes the installation and maintenance of fire and security equipment. The company turns over approximately £7m per annum and has a full spectrum customer portfolio from domestic end users to regional and national entities.
WFS enjoys a high degree of repeat customer business. We are looking to further improve our existing customer communication as well as seeking to add new business through targeted marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a marketing specialist seeking to either secure a work placement in industry (undergraduate) or work experience having recently graduated. The position is offered on a fixed term basis of either 6 or 9 months (to be agreed subject to candidate circumstance).
The post holder will be tasked with initially supporting benchmarking and the development of an all-encompassing marketing plan for the business (including detailed brand guidelines – WFS is currently in the process of a soft rebranding exercise). The post holder will develop both traditional and new media tools. As such the post holder will need to be both creative and strategic and be comfortable to develop new tools and channels for the WFS business (including social media). The role will entail both working with existing suppliers and identifying, evaluating and recommending new ones.
The post holder will be based from the offices of WFS in Shaftesbury, Dorset. A salary and benefits commensurate with this position will be offered. Whilst it is appreciated that the marking role outlined might be considered to lend itself well to remote working, WFS is looking to bring an individual into the business who can champion marketing among the WFS team and also support the development of our internal marketing and communications.
