Wessex Fire and Security Bands aiming visibly to reduce danger on roads

Wessex Fire and Security is putting the safety of the local children first by donating thousands of high visibility wristbands so that they can be seen crossing the roads and riding their bikes.

Wessex Fire and Security has joined Wiltshire Police Junior Good Citizen Scheme by sponsoring the reflective armbands with the aim of making youngsters more visible to drivers at night. Chris Trim, system surveyor for the Shaftesbury based security company said “ We are delighted to be involved with a scheme which will help save children’s lives, especially when the summer is over and the winter nights set in “. PC Caroline Holt, said “The police want to slash the number of children getting hurt or killed in bicycle accidents around schools and we would like to say a big thank you to Wessex for helping make the children safer on roads.
