Each Wessex Company has their own Personnel Management Autonomy which is carefully monitored and assisted by experienced Personnel Specialists employed directly by the Wessex Group who meticulously follow the Investors in People guidelines of which Wessex have been accredited since 1999. At Wessex, all directors fully appreciate that it is of paramount importance to service and properly maintain a happy and effective workforce in order to obtain optimum productivity and a high staff retention rate. Regular key measures in helping to monitor how well we are looking after staff are numerous and include: Regular staff appraisals, genuine open door policy to the highest level of authority, on-going in-house management training in personnel and regular staff questionnaires on a variety of questions in order to monitor and address any personnel shortcomings. Rapid managed staff growth over recent years has seen the volume of employees increase by nearly 50% since 2001 to around 280 staff. Each position that is advertised is carefully planned with a proper understanding on the purpose and description of the role and the subsequent selection process against these positions professionally managed to ensure staff intake to Wessex is of the highest standard.
