St James Hospital - Portsmouth
St James’ Hospital is one of a number of specialist psychiatric hospitals set within mature grounds and is a Victorian building.
Wessex Building Services were commissioned to install a complete new fire alarm system in tandem and remove the existing system to ensure a smooth handover.
Working in such a high pressure and sensitive environment of this psychiatric hospital was a particular challenge and care was taken to ensure the engineers chosen were not only suitable but well informed as to the difficulties they may encounter whilst managing the works.
