Wessex Building Services were asked to coordinate the incoming gas and water to serve the new de-cant workshop consisting of a new 2-storey building comprising of a workshop and offices at Oxford Brookes.
Work consisted of installation of two gas-fired condensing boilers serving as a pressurised LTHW heating system of radiation and fan coil units. Pipe work was installed utilising steel tube and fittings.
Hot and Cold water was installed to serve sinks and basins with local water heaters. Pipe work was installed utilising copper tube and solder ring fitting with extract ventilation installed to serve workshop and w.c. areas.
A building management control system was installed to link with the existing university BMS system. Above ground drainage was installed to serve kitchen and w.c.’s utilising UPVC tube and fittings together with the installations of all the necessary sanitary ware.
