Brownsea Castle continue to request on-going maintenance and upgrading on their plumbing and heating requirements from Wessex Building Services.
Brownsea Castle is a mid 16th century square blockhouse protected by a moat which was built on a small island in Poole harbour. It was renovated during the 19th century as an impressive residence but was badly damaged by fire in 1895. It has been rebuilt and is now used exclusively by the John Lewis Partnership.
Over many years, Wessex Building Services have been contracted to providing full mechanical upgrading and maintenance to the conventional gravity system to a more modern pressurised system that improves the efficiency of both the air and water heating.
Wessex handle the works at the castle during the periods between November and March whilst the occupancy is at its lowest.
"We find the Wessex Building Services team to be reliable, highly effiecient and always offering a truly professional approach to the work in hand.
Their contracts manager is always very helpful in resolving any issues that arise and we have no hesitation in putting forward Wessex to manage new projects."
