Another Wessex Giveaway

Continuing with The Wessex Group of Shaftesbury innovative idea to commemorate their 40th Year by donating ‘Forty Something’ items each month to local worthy causes; Naomi House were presented in June with 40 latest DVD’s and CD’s to update their entertainment area.

Naomi House is a purpose-built children’s hospice that opened in 1997 and is situated in Sutton Scotney, Hampshire. They provide respite and care for children up to the age of 18 who are suffering a terminal illness.

Naomi House provides a caring home-from-home environment for the whole family offering a broad range of facilities including music, multi sensory, computer and play rooms, a hydrotherapy suite and a multi faith chapel. As well as offering care for children with a life-limiting condition, they offer desperately needed respite care to the whole family with around 200 families each year taking advantage of the regular short breaks.

Jane Gilles, Play Specialist at Naomi House said, “This kind gift will bring our entertainment selection of films and music up to date and offer a wider variety of film and music to every age group so that it will be enjoyed by a larger number of children and their families.”

On hand to present Adrian Redshaw, Play Specialist with their 40 latest DVD’s and CD’s was Robert Nikos, Management Executive from the Wessex Group in Shaftesbury whose companies include Wessex Fire and Security and Wessex Electricals.
